C
Link Marine Services
was formed in the year 2000 to provide seafarers,
shipping companies and Maritime Training Institutes with
a common platform for exchange of marine information,
sea & shore jobs and shipping news. We intend to
provide a one-stop solution for all queries related to shipping. Since then we have been providing QUALITY MANNING for several reputed multinational shipping companies. Our database has grown to over 5000 especially selected personnel of all ranks at sea from several nations. All personnel are well qualified, trained, experienced and STCW 95 compliant. We cater to vessels of all kind including highly specialized LPG and Chemicals.
Our
services have been steadily growing and expanding to
meet the demands of the shipping industry today. The need for communication from shore to ship
has always been felt. Therefore we have introduced a
service called SAILORMAIL.
The friends and family members can now send e-mail to
Sat C terminals on ships at a very reasonable cost.
We seafarers have always felt the need to present themselves at all
family functions, be it birthday of their children or
their own marriage anniversaries. It is the nature of
our job that most of the times force us away from them.
We have tried to fill up this gap by introducing a
service called SAILORGIFT.
Now the seafarers can send their loved ones bouquets,
chocolates, cakes and presents to their near and dear
ones and show them how much we miss them and care for them.
In May 2002 we inaugurated a service that is so unique to we seafarers -- "The Sailor News". It is a news service specially designed for ships. The news is compiled each day by professionals covering wide range of topics of interest to seafarers of all nationalities and contains the latest update till 0600 hrs UTC and is transmitted at 0630 hrs UTC the same day. The news prepared is specific to each ship taking into account the crew nationalities aboard the ship and any choice offered or feedback received. The file size is 7-8 kb (uncompressed) and 3-4 kb (compressed) to ensure a download time of 5-10 seconds
depending on the satellite system used. To provide this service a wide publicity we have launched a separate website www.thesailornews.com.
Apart
from above services, there are several others that save
us time and help us make our life a fun. All this at a
very reasonable cost, which every one of us will agree
and appreciate! Needless to say, all our services are so popular today!!
Although
this site has been developed from experiences gained
hard way at sea. We believe that the sky is the limit
for improvements and developments in services provided
herein. We will welcome any experiences that come from
our visitors and would be glad to implement any
suggestion that would help improve our life at sea and
that of our friends ashore.
